The set contains 9 model soldiers comprising of 1 officer and 8 infantrymen plus 3 mortars and a field embankment. The heads and arms are interchangeable with models and parts in the previous box-sets in this series.

The main component of this set is the Type 97 90mm Mortar and crew. Although three mortars has been provided in the box-set, there is also the option to assemble two of the crewmen as ordinary infantrymen (see below) or even as a sniper with a scoped rifle.
