| Senior Commanders modeled with one mounted and one on foot. The mounted commander is modeled after Saladin, the famous Medieval Islamic military leader.The Arab musicians contain 2 drummers and 2 trumpeters cum flag-bearers. The arms and equipment of these models can be swapped with other models in the range for greater variety of poses. It is a common event in inter-tribal battles for individuals to be given the opportunity to meet the enemy for single combat. In the early days of Islamic conquests, these champions are referred to as Mubarizun. These select groups of warriors are also often tasked with targeting the enemy’s senior commanders. The death of a key tribal or religious leader can cause a collapse of the enemy forces morale especially when the conflict was closely linked to the leaders personal agenda. All models are supplied as kits and will need to be assembled and painted. The picture illustrates how the model should look once completed. Glue and paint are not included in the kit. |
