| HMS Hood was the most powerful battlecruiser of the Royal Navy, and her combat performance was among the best in the capital ships. This beautiful ship visited many places all over the world to manifest UK’s national power. However, in the Battle of the Denmark Strait in May 1941, Hood’s armor was broken through by shells from the German battleship Bismarck when she tried to intercept Bismarck. Hood got her magazines detonated, and she was broken and sunk quickly. Only three men survived. |
