Soviet infantry were often confronted head-on with enemy armour, particularly in the brutal meat-grinder of Stalingrad. Without supporting heavy weaponry, they were forced to improvise and adapt new tactics for destroying enemy vehicles at close range - a task requiring extreme dedication, something for which the Naval Brigades were renowned. Perhaps the simplest anti-tank weapon of the war was the ‘Molotov Cocktail’, a home-made incendiary grenade, while the German Panzerfaust, captured in huge numbers, became the favoured late-war weapon of Soviet tank hunters. On the Bolt Action tabletop, Tank Hunters give you a small unit of Infiltrators with a lethal anti-tank punch, making them a perfect addition to any Rifle Platoon expecting to face enemy armour. All models are supplied as kits and will need to be assembled and painted. The picture illustrates how the model should look once completed. Glue and paint are not included in the kit. |
